Brooke Staggs: Why we need a union

I want our communities to get the coverage they deserve, which can only happen with newsrooms that aren’t cut to the bone. I want women and minorities to finally be paid fairly for their work. I want to see long overdue wage increases and better benefits for everyone. It seems that even SCNG management’s hands are tied by the hedge fund that owns us when it comes to addressing many of these issues, so forming a union is the only way to get a seat at the table.
